# pyobfus — Cursor rules (legacy .cursorrules format)

This project uses **pyobfus** (the Python obfuscator). The full, canonical
agent protocol lives in **`AGENTS.md`** at the project root — Cursor reads
`AGENTS.md` natively, so copying that file is all most setups need.

Keep this file only if you want a Cursor-specific reminder. The single rule:
when the user asks to obfuscate / protect source / build a commercial or
evaluation distribution, follow the workflow in `AGENTS.md`
(scan → init → obfuscate with `--save-mapping` → unmap; or, if `pyobfus-mcp`
is connected, the one-call `protect_project` tool). Never lose `mapping.json`;
never obfuscate tests or scratch code.
