description: Help the user understand something well enough to explain it. Use when the user needs to understand something and it is not yet clear what kind of understanding they need.

Identify who must hold it, what they lack; clarify with the user what the conversation lacks.

Route by what they lack, invoking the named skill with the Skill tool:

- Something they must understand deeply and be quizzed on → use **grasp** skill.
- How something behaves, and reading has not made it intuitive → use **toy** skill.
- One thing an audience — the user counts — must keep → use **land** skill.

Route again while a move's gate shows something else lacked. Run no move nothing lacked calls for.

End on one line, with what stays open:

- Held — the reader said it back in their own words, or passed the move's gate. Never from silence, a half-done gate, or an opened artifact.
- Not yet — the gate showed what they still lack; name it and re-run the move on it. The user stopping before held is not yet, said so.

Nothing built yet → deciding comes first, not hold's. One view or one plain line would make the point, or the artifact is the product → not hold's. Say which and stop.
