# Adaptor Interfaces

## Control: ISensorControlInterface (include/sensor_control_adaptor.h)

Pure virtual: `connect()`, `getSensorStreamInfo()` (vector and single), `isServerOnline()`
Optional: `synchronizeSensorTime`, `getSensorStatus`, `rebootSensor`, `getSensor{Image,Encode}Settings`, `set*`, `getNetworkInfo`, `setPTZ/getPTZ`, `validateCredentials`, `addSensor`, `deleteSensor`, `getRecordingTimelines`
Factory: `createObject()` / `destroyObject()` (C linkage)

## Discovery: ISensorDiscoveryInterface (include/sensor_discovery_adaptor.h)

Pure virtual: `start()`, `stop()`
Optional: `searchSensor()`
Listeners: `registerSensorDiscoveryListener`, `publishOnSensorFound/Changed/Removed`
Factory: `createObject()` / `destroyObject()`

## Media: IMediaInterface (include/vms_media_interface.h)

Pure virtual: `connect()`, `isServerOnline()`, `getCapabilities()`, `fetchSnapshot()`, `fetchClip()`

# Dynamic Loading (adaptor_loader.cpp)

- `loadLibrary(path)`: `realpath` + `dlopen(resolved_path, RTLD_NOW)`, arch placeholder replaced
- `loadControlAdaptorLibrary`: `dlsym("createObject")` -> `ISensorControlInterface*`
- `loadDiscoveryAdaptorLibrary`: `dlsym("createObject")` -> `ISensorDiscoveryInterface*`
- `MediaAdaptorLoader::load()` (media_adaptor_loader.cpp): `dlsym("createMediaObject")` -> `IMediaInterface*`

# Adaptor Selection (Runtime)

Config-driven via `adaptor_config.json` + `getAdaptorInfo()` (utils.cpp:359):
1. `ADAPTOR` env var set -> pick matching `name`
2. Otherwise -> first entry with `enabled == true`
3. Env overrides: `NEED_RECORDING`, `NEED_RTSPSERVER`, `NEED_STORAGE`, `NEED_STREAM_MONITORING`

## Registration Pattern

Each module implements `IVstModule::getHttpApi()` returning `map<string, httpFunction>`. Registered in `VmsServer::initialize()` via `m_webServer->registerRESTAPIs(module->getHttpApi())`.
