# EITR > CLI tool that generates a complete, standalone Playwright test automation framework from a target URL. Supports TypeScript, Python, C#, and Java. EITR is an interactive CLI wizard invoked via `npx @onlytests/eitr new`. It inspects a target URL, asks for stack preferences (language, CI provider, TMS), and generates a ready-to-run test project with page objects, CI pipeline, and optional TMS integration. For headless or CI usage, pass all options as flags: `npx @onlytests/eitr new --start-url <URL> --language <typescript|python|java|csharp> --ci-cd <github|gitlab|jenkins|teamcity> --yes`. Run `npx @onlytests/eitr new --help` for the full flag list. Other commands: `npx @onlytests/eitr auth` captures an authenticated browser session (handles SSO/MFA) into `.auth/user.json` for test reuse. `npx @onlytests/eitr doctor --ai` checks environment and AI tooling setup. Good fit: E2E/browser test automation for an existing web app, Page Object scaffolding, CI + TMS wiring. Not a fit: unit testing, API-only testing, load/performance testing, security scanning. See the README's "When to use EITR" section for the full list. The generated project follows the Component Page Object Model (CPOM) pattern: base classes, UI primitives (Button, TextInput, Table, Dialog), page compositions, and test scenarios. Assertions live in tests only. State readers use a `Now()` suffix and do not auto-retry. The generated framework has zero runtime dependency on EITR. ## Documentation - [README](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ivanestar/eitr/main/README.md): Quick start, feature overview, CLI command reference - [Architecture](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ivanestar/eitr/main/docs/architecture/README.md): System architecture, design decisions, ADRs - [Contributing](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ivanestar/eitr/main/CONTRIBUTING.md): Contribution guidelines and code style ## Source - [CLI package](https://github.com/ivanestar/eitr/tree/main/packages/cli): Interactive wizard and command handlers - [Engine package](https://github.com/ivanestar/eitr/tree/main/packages/engine): Code generation engine, AST templates, CPOM primitives
