# Backlink Gap Analysis

Use backlink evidence to find relevant, reachable opportunities. Do not send outreach or create links. Read [the API map](references/sandbase-api-map.md) before selecting a capability.

## Call SandBase capabilities

For every selected tool, call `sandbase_describe_tool` first and use only arguments in its current input schema. Then call `sandbase_call_tool` with the exact `tool_name`. The API map fixes the workflow's tool names; Capability Registry remains authoritative for parameters and supported targets.

## Workflow

1. Confirm the target domain, market, competitors, and disallowed link tactics.
2. Use `dataforseo_v3_backlinks_summary_live` and `dataforseo_v3_backlinks_referring_domains_live` to profile the target.
3. Use `dataforseo_v3_backlinks_competitors_live` and `dataforseo_v3_backlinks_backlinks_live` to identify competitor-earned links.
4. Use `dataforseo_v3_backlinks_anchors_live` and `dataforseo_v3_backlinks_domain_pages_live` to assess relevance and linkable assets.
5. Rank prospects by topical fit, evidence of linking, asset fit, and risk; exclude low-quality or manipulative prospects.

## Output

Return a prioritized prospect table, supporting evidence, recommended asset or angle, and exclusions. Label all inferred outreach angles as suggestions.
