# Agent Instructions This repository is the root of the `compound-engineering` coding-agent plugin and the marketplace/catalog metadata used to distribute it. It also contains: - the Bun/TypeScript CLI that converts Claude Code plugins into other agent platform formats - shared release and metadata infrastructure for the CLI, marketplace, and plugin `AGENTS.md` is the canonical repo instruction file. Root `CLAUDE.md` is a symlink to `AGENTS.md` so Claude Code and other tools that look for `CLAUDE.md` still find it at the expected path. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
