# Claudemy

> Claudemy is a free, open-source Claude Code skill and an alternative to Udemy and Coursera. Give it a topic and it researches the web, compares what good sources agree on, and builds a course of 2-minute two-host audio lessons, each with a one-screen card, one small practice, and links to its sources. MIT licensed.

Install in Claude Code: `/plugin marketplace add assafkip/claudemy` then `/plugin install claudemy@claudemy`. Then ask "teach me <topic>".

Key facts:
- Output: about 12 MP3 lessons of 2 minutes, a card per lesson, a playbook of rules, and a lesson plan showing where sources disagree.
- Research: 20 to 40 web pages per topic, at most 3 per site; every lesson citation is checked against pages actually read.
- Optional: build a course from one named person's Substack or blog.
- Audio: ElevenLabs voices with an API key, or free macOS voices without one.
- Requires: Claude Code with web search, Python 3, beautifulsoup4, ffmpeg.

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261029.dadf948, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
