# Skills Repository

- `usetemi/skills` is an open-source repository of agent skills published by [Temi](https://usetemi.com). Skills extend AI agents (Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and others that support the [Agent Skills spec](https://agentskills.io)) with specialized knowledge, workflows, and tools.

+ support the Agent Skills spec. Keep this file focused on instructions agents need

+ while changing the repo; keep public install, catalog, and distribution copy in

+ `README.md`.

- ## Shared modules across the google-* skills

+ ## Orientation

- `template/` is also a [Copier](https://copier.readthedocs.io/) template that renders shared modules (`__init__.py`, `__main__.py`, `auth.py`) into each google-* skill. Each consuming skill carries a `.copier-answers.yml` recording its substitution values. To re-render after editing a template, run from inside the skill's directory:

+ - Each skill is self-contained under `skills/<name>/`. `SKILL.md` is the required

+ entry point; deeper references should live inside the skill and be loaded only

+ when the task calls for them.

+ - `README.md` is the canonical public catalog and install guide. Update it when a

+ skill is added, removed, renamed, or its public description changes.

+ - Plugin and marketplace metadata lives under `.claude-plugin/`,

+ `.codex-plugin/`, and `.agents/plugins/`. Touch those files only for registration

+ or metadata changes.

+ - `template/` renders shared Python modules for the google-* CLI skills. Read

+ `template/AGENTS.md` before editing the Copier template or any file generated

+ from it.

+ ## Skill Changes

- Commit both the template change and the regenerated outputs. `.github/workflows/copier-drift.yml` enforces this on PRs. Detailed authoring guide: [`template/AGENTS.md`](template/AGENTS.md).

+ - When adding a new skill, create `skills/<name>/SKILL.md` and keep the skill

+ directory self-contained.

+ - Register new skills in `.claude-plugin/marketplace.json` and add a row to the

+ `README.md` skill table.

+ - Codex discovers skills from `./skills/` via `.codex-plugin/plugin.json`, so new

+ skills do not need per-skill Codex registration unless root plugin metadata

+ changes.

+ - Do not document capabilities that are not implemented in the skill.

- Use Anthropic's `skill-creator` for the design, structure, and validation workflow:

+ The google-* Python CLI skills share modules rendered from `template/`. If you

+ change a template or a rendered shared module, re-render each affected consuming

+ skill from that skill's directory:

- After scaffolding, register the new skill in this repo: add its path to the `skills` array in `.claude-plugin/marketplace.json` and add a row to the table in `README.md`. The Codex plugin manifest points at `./skills/`, so new skills do not need a separate Codex plugin registration unless the root plugin metadata changes.

- ## Releasing

- A `v*` tag (e.g. `v0.1.0`) triggers `.github/workflows/release.yml`, which zips each `skills/*` directory and attaches the zips to a GitHub Release. Cowork/Desktop users download the zip they want.

+ - Before finishing, run `git diff --check`.
