- LDS scripture lookup splits across two sources depending on which volume of the Standard Works is being referenced.

- When a caller sets `denomination=lds` in the Verse Lookup URL (`/lookup?tradition=christianity&denomination=lds&ref=...`), the app activates LDS routing mode. The routing decision is made in `VerseLookup.tsx` (`doFetch`) using the exported helper `isLdsBibleRef` from `src/api/nephi.ts`:

- **`LdsApiUnavailableError`**

- A typed `Error` subclass (`isLdsFallback = true`) thrown by `fetchNephiPassage` on any failure (network error, non-2xx response, empty body, bad JSON). Callers should catch this specifically and surface the static fallback message rather than a generic error. `LdsApiUnavailableError` is never thrown for Bible-path lookups.
