Color is used sparingly and organically — dark forest ink carries body text and CTA fills, while muted sage, teal, and crimson appear as specimen-card backgrounds and category labels rather than as flat accent washes. The type system pairs a neo-grotesque workhorse (Akkurat) with a whisper-light editorial serif (Newsreader) and a tracked monospace (Fragment Mono) that acts as field-note tagging across badges, buttons, and inline labels.
