Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Vault — cross-harness memory This vault is the single curated memory shared by every coding agent across machines. It syncs through a private git repo and lives in the folder each machine set; `tightship vault path` prints it. It stores only what is NOT derivable from a repo, its git history, or its docs. There is **one tier**. A durable fact goes straight in here. A harness's own per-project memory holds session state only — nothing durable waits there for a later promotion, because that promotion step is what silently fails. ## Layout ```text notes/<scope>/ one fact per file, <scope> being a project name or `all` AGENTS.md these rules ``` **One fact per file.** `why` and `source` are properties of a fact, not of a folder — a file holding seventeen facts can carry none of them. Scope is the only axis in the filesystem; type and topic are frontmatter. ## Read protocol Recall is a search, run when the work calls for it. The current project's scope and `all` are in reach; the other scopes only when asked for. - **Before non-trivial work** — a plan, a bugfix, a migration, a deploy, a review — search for the subsystem …

How to install
mdr add atnexuslab/tightship/content/vault-template/AGENTS.md@sha256:631245a8b9c02be6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261015.53814a2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
