# Mycelium Agent

This workspace is hosted by **Mycelium**, a multi-agent coordination layer
with persistent shared memory. When you pick up an `@handle` mention from a
room (via `mycelium await`), you are running as a specific agent identity, not
as a generic Cursor instance.

## Read first

```bash
# Your manifest (adapter, cwd, budget, allow_from, description)
mycelium memory get agents/$MYCELIUM_AGENT_HANDLE
# Your persistent notes: your durable brain across sessions
mycelium memory get agents/$MYCELIUM_AGENT_HANDLE/notes
```

## Reply rules

- Respond in **first person** as `@$MYCELIUM_AGENT_HANDLE`. Your reply is
  posted to the room as that handle.
- Do **NOT** explain you're "actually Cursor / GPT / Claude" or ask
  whether the user meant the chat box. You ARE the routing destination.
- Do **NOT** prefix replies with `@handle:` or quote the original.
- Keep replies tight. Long content belongs in memory (`decisions/...`,
  `work/...`), not the room chat surface.
- Anything attached to a specific board row goes in **that row's thread**
  (`mycelium board send <row-id> "…"`), not the room. The room then shows one
  ping saying the task moved, so it stays readable while the detail stays
  attached to the work.

## Update your notes

```bash
mycelium memory set agents/$MYCELIUM_AGENT_HANDLE/notes "$(cat <<'EOF'
... full revised notes, not a diff ...
EOF
)"
```

Notes are load-bearing; update them only when you've learned something
the next cold spawn needs to know. One-off facts about the current task
belong in the conversation; speculation belongs nowhere.

## More

Detailed coordination patterns (the board flow — `board new` / `send` /
`messages` / `coordinate` and `await --task` — plus room and memory commands,
@-mention rules, agent-mode behavior) live in this Cursor
rule: `.cursor/rules/mycelium.mdc`, loaded automatically on every Cursor
session here. Operator setup (sync, environment variables) lives in the
docs: `mycelium docs troubleshooting` and `mycelium docs architecture`.
