# HULL. Development Guide ## Building an application on Hull? If you're using Hull to build an app (rather than hacking on Hull itself), start at **[BOOTSTRAP.md](BOOTSTRAP.md)**. It's a single-file prompt for AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor) that covers installation, the required-reading order through this guide, a forced discovery / plan / implement workflow, the widget-tier reach order, the anti-pattern table, and a `PLATFORM_GAPS.md` protocol for flagging Hull-side gaps instead of coding around them. Same file works for any product spec - hand the agent BOOTSTRAP.md + the spec. The rest of THIS file is the Hull-internal development guide for contributors hacking on the runtime, stdlib, or build pipeline. ## Distribution ### HTTPS / CA bundle Hull embeds Mozilla's CA bundle (from curl.se, ~226KB, ~145 roots) into `libhull_platform.a` so HTTPS works without a system CA store.
