# BMW M BMW M is the performance arm of BMW AG. Its marketing surface across `bmwusa.com/vehicles/m-series/*` and the `bmwusa.com/vehicles/bmw-m/*` family is a mixed-polarity property: the M overview, the M models index, the M5 Sedan, and the M4 CSL limited-edition page render on a near-black canvas with full-bleed performance photography, while the M3 Sedan, the XM, the i4 M60, and the M Performance Parts shop render on a white canvas with the same photography style sitting against a light ground. The signature decorative element — the BMW M tri-stripe (Bavarian Blue / Violet / Motorsport Red) — appears on both polarities, lifted from the corporate BMW Bavarian heritage on one side and the Texaco-sponsored Motorsport-team origin on the other, with the centre violet emerging from the overlap of the two. The point of this file: capture what is actually deployed.
