# Binance MCP Server Guide

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for the Binance.com API. Provides a standardized interface for AI agents to interact with all Binance features through Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client.

## Authentication

The server handles Binance API authentication automatically:
- **HMAC-SHA256 signing** for authenticated endpoints
- **Timestamp synchronization** to prevent time-drift errors
- **Rate limiting** respects Binance's per-endpoint limits
- **Error handling** with clear descriptions for common issues

### API Key Setup

1. Log into Binance.com
2. Go to API Management
3. Create a new API key
4. Enable required permissions (read, spot trading, etc.)
5. Whitelist your server's IP address

**Security**: Never enable withdrawal permissions unless absolutely necessary. For AI agent use, "Read" + "Spot Trading" is usually sufficient.
