# Edge Esmeralda 2026 Skill — Contributor Notes
This directory is the **popup-specific knowledge layer** for Edge Esmeralda 2026 (May 30 – Jun 27, Healdsburg, CA). The agent-facing content is `SKILL.md`. The Bun project alongside it (`scripts/`, `references/`) regenerates the wiki / website / newsletter references that `SKILL.md` §5 points at.
For backend-agnostic EdgeOS API recipes, see the sibling `../edgeos/SKILL.md`. For Index Network discovery, see `../index-network/SKILL.md`. Do not duplicate either backend's content here.
## Project Structure
- `SKILL.md` — Popup-specific agent skill: popup constants (popup id, week dates, themes), attendee-directory field semantics, the curated wiki/website/newsletter references, and the "how to obtain EdgeOS tokens" pointer.
- `references/` — Preprocessed content from the Edge Esmeralda Notion wiki, the Edge City website, and the Edge Esmeralda Substack newsletter. Regenerated by `scripts/index.ts`.
- `scripts/index.ts` — Indexer that fetches and preprocesses static sources into `references/*.md`.
## Commands
- `bun install` — Install indexer dependencies.
- `bun run scripts/index.ts` — Regenerate `references/` markdown.
- The indexer is run automatically every 15 minutes by upstream CI (`.github/workflows/index-references.yml` in `Edge-City/edgeclaw-skills`); local runs are only needed when iterating on the indexer itself.

## When updating `SKILL.md`
- Bump `version` in the frontmatter (semver: patch for content tweaks, minor for new sections, major for breaking the cross-skill contract with `edgeos`/`index-network`).
- Keep this file scoped to popup-specific knowledge. EdgeOS API recipes belong in `../edgeos/SKILL.md`; cross-skill orchestration logic belongs in `../../workspace/`.
- The two `<EDGECITY-ONBOARDING-URL>` placeholders in §2 are intentional — they get substituted once EdgeCity publishes the operator onboarding page.
Default to using Bun instead of Node.js.
