# DESIGN.md: the `paper` deck style

Direction chosen by the product owner (Skylar). This file is the brief for the `paper` deck style (`"style": "paper"`).

## Identity

- Product: Showship, "Show what you shipped."

- Kept from the approved brand: the logo (three-ribbon mark with the amber dot), Poppins, the ship trail, and one colour per project.

## Personality and mood

- Reference: a printed annual report. Calm and confident, built for a business meeting.

- Paper, ink and rules instead of floating cards. Big numbers carry the story; everything else defers to them.

## Palette

- Paper background, navy ink.

- One project colour on each slide. That colour is the slide's accent.

- Project colours (categorical legend): violet, teal, amber, blue.

- Coral red is reserved for risk (blockers), so a project colour is never confused with a warning.

## Typography

- Poppins for headings and figures (brand voice).

- Arial for small body text (available on every machine that opens the .pptx).

- Sentence case labels. No tracked uppercase.

## Motif

- The ship trail: the multi-colour ribbons on the cover and closing slides, and a single trail line on the timeline slide.
