This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

## What this repository is

SlideOps is not an application: it is two **Agent Skills** (markdown + two Python scripts)
that get installed onto other people's machines, plus the development harness that proves
they work. Almost every rule below follows from that split:

- `skills/slideops/` and `skills/slides-to-pdf/` — **shipped**. Standard library only.
- `scripts/`, `tests/`, `pyproject.toml` — **development harness**. Never installed, free
  to use third-party deps (`typer`, `pypdfium2`, `Pillow`).

The repo is also its own Claude Code plugin marketplace (`.claude-plugin/`), so the same
tree is both the source and the distribution channel.

How to install

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260828.599c185, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
