# Design system This is what the trace-mcp desktop app actually is, not what it aspires to be. Every value here is read out of merged code and is cited to the file it lives in. If this document and the code disagree, the code wins and this document is a bug. The target is macOS 26 (Tahoe). The bar is not "consistent with the rest of the app" — it is that a stranger opening trace-mcp assumes Apple shipped it. **Read this before adding a screen.** It is meant to be read once, in order, and then used as a checklist. Exact token values live in `packages/app/src/renderer/styles/tokens.css`, which is the reference dump; this document explains what each one is *for*. --- ## 1. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
