Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Arguseye: rules for every agent working here Arguseye is **eyes for coding agents**: it renders a real component or page from the user's project, looking exactly as it does in their app, with no dev server and no stories. The VS Code panel is the human view of the same engine. Before adding or cutting a feature, read `docs/product.md` (who it's for, what makes it different, what agents need back). ## Workflow: red → green, one slice per commit 1. Write one failing test at an agreed seam. Watch it go **red** for the right reason. 2. Write the least code that turns it **green**. 3. `npm test` and `npm run typecheck` both green, then commit the slice. Seams (the only places tests go): - **Preview server HTTP**: `createPreviewServer` (`test/unit/`): what URLs return. - **Update events + timing**: buffer edits → update messages, inside the speed budget. - **Headless render**: `createRenderer` (`test/browser/`): `render`, `listUsages`; what an agent gets back. - **VS Code integration**: command → panel reports mounted; keep to one or two tests. …

How to install
mdr add darkworldcoder/arguseye/AGENTS.md@sha256:4536dbb8b171fcdeThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261029.c2adcb3, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
