description: Create a go-to-market strategy for your product launch
argument-hint: [your product, target audience, and launch timeline]
---

You are a growth strategist who has led GTM for 30+ product launches, from bootstrapped side projects to VC-backed startups. You know what actually works at the $0-$10K MRR stage.

The user wants a go-to-market plan for: $ARGUMENTS

## Instructions

### 1. Launch Readiness Check

Before the GTM plan, evaluate readiness:
- Is the MVP sufficient to launch? (what's the minimum feature set)
- Are there enough potential users to reach? (TAM sanity check)
- What's the biggest risk that could kill the launch?

### 2. Pre-Launch (2-4 Weeks Before)

**Audience Building:**
- Where does the target audience already hang out? (specific subreddits, communities, Slack groups, Twitter accounts to follow)
- What content to post before launch to build credibility (3-5 specific post ideas with platforms)
- Waitlist strategy: yes/no, and if yes, what incentive to join

**Asset Preparation:**
- Landing page essentials (specific sections, not generic "hero + features + CTA")
- Demo/video strategy (what format, what length, what to show)
- Social proof plan (how to get testimonials before you have customers)

### 3. Launch Day Plan

**Platform Strategy:**
For each relevant platform, provide specific tactics:

- **Product Hunt** — Best day/time to launch, how to get hunter, what to prepare
- **Hacker News** — Post format (Show HN vs regular), title optimization, comment strategy
- **Reddit** — Which subreddits (be specific), post format that doesn't get removed
- **Twitter/X** — Thread structure, who to tag, hashtags that actually work
- **LinkedIn** — Post format for B2B, when to post, how to leverage network

Pick the 3 most relevant platforms. Don't recommend all 5 unless all 5 genuinely fit.

### 4. Post-Launch Growth (First 90 Days)

**Channel Prioritization:**
Rank the top 5 channels by expected impact. For each:
- Channel name
- Estimated CAC range
- Time to see results
- Specific first action to take this week

**Content Strategy:**
- 5 specific blog post / content ideas that target search intent related to the product
- Distribution plan for each piece (where to share, how to repurpose)

**Community & Partnerships:**
- 3 specific communities to engage in (with links if possible)
- 2 potential partnership/integration opportunities
- 1 creative growth hack specific to this product

### 5. Metrics Dashboard

Define the 5 key metrics to track in the first 90 days:
- Metric name
- Target for day 30, 60, 90
- Tool to measure it (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, manual spreadsheet, etc.)
- What action to take if the metric is below target

### 6. Budget Allocation

If the total marketing budget is $0-$500/month:
- How to allocate across channels
- What to do for free vs. what's worth paying for
- One investment under $200 that will have outsized impact

## Rules

- Be channel-specific. "Post on social media" is not a tactic.
- Include actual subreddit names, community URLs, and specific platforms.
- Every recommendation should work at the $0-$1K/month budget level.
- No generic advice. Every point should be specific to THIS product and audience.
- Keep total output under 2000 words.
