# Firekeep Design Spec **Date:** 2026-03-13 **Status:** Approved **Author:** Alex + Claude ## Overview Firekeep is a unified deployment repository that consolidates five Firekeep services into a single cognitive stack for AI agents. It combines code intelligence, persistent memory, session context, environment observation, and agent communication into one deployable unit. ### Deployment Topology - **VPS (docker-compose):** FirekeepCortex, FirekeepBridge, FirekeepSentinel, FirekeepRelay, Dashboard, infrastructure (Neo4j, Qdrant, Redis, Ollama) - **Local (client kit):** the Decision Board (`firekeep-decision`) — an always-installed, always-mounted stdio MCP server that runs next to the agent for fast local file access — plus the **dexes**, the domain indexes the Keep understands: FirekeepSymdex (`firekeep-symdex`, code) and FirekeepDocdex (`firekeep-docdex`, documents).
