# Dub Studio > A Windows desktop studio that dubs videos on the user's own computer: it recognises who speaks and what they say, translates it, and re-voices every speaker with their own cloned voice, or makes a voice-over, translated or original-language subtitles, or a transcript; on-screen text is blurred and translated on the frame. While it is open it serves an MCP server at http://127.0.0.1:8793/mcp that an agent uses to do everything the studio does: projects from video files or links, analysis, the translation line by line, voices and character casting, subtitle styles, titles and blur boxes, the render, the same video in more languages, SRT, VTT, ASS and TXT export, the models and the settings - and, in one call on a file, its transcript, its translated subtitles, the file dubbed, its voice and background apart, or the text in its picture. For an agent given this repository: install the studio from the latest release, start it, connect to its MCP server, and read the skill the server serves (resource `studio://skill`, prompt `studio`) - it names every tool, the ground rules and the recipes.
