# Jira Issue Delivery

If no prior delivery state exists, select the remote that will host the pull request base and use the user-specified base branch or resolve the remote's current default branch from live remote evidence. Do not assume `origin`, `main`, or `master`, and do not rely only on a cached remote `HEAD`.
- 4. Fetch the required base ref and record its exact remote commit. Do not switch, pull, reset, stash, or update the primary checkout or its local default branch. Stop if current remote base state cannot be proved.
- 5. Use a repository-prescribed worktree location when one exists. Otherwise place it outside the repository, such as `<repository-parent>/.worktrees/<repository>/<issue-key>-<slug>`, without adding ignore rules to the repository. Never overwrite, reset, delete, unlock, prune, or force-reuse a colliding branch, path, or worktree.
- 6. For a new delivery, create a short issue-keyed topic branch at the recorded base commit in a linked worktree. Do not make the topic branch track the base branch; set its upstream to the remote topic branch on first push.
- 7. Verify that the selected worktree is registered and on the intended issue branch. Verify a new branch is clean and at the recorded base commit; preserve and record the state of a resumed branch. Read applicable repository guidance from the selected path.
- 8. Run all discovery, implementation, validation, review, commit, push, CI repair, and review-remediation work in the selected worktree.
- 9. Keep the worktree through the final audit. Do not remove it unless the user or repository explicitly requires cleanup.

- 7. Inspect thread resolution through GitHub's thread-aware API or tooling; issue comments and top-level review summaries do not prove that inline threads are resolved.
