## Routing Rules
1. Match the full command (e.g. `/youtube-seo`, `/youtube-audit`) to its skill file
2. Load the matching skill file for that command
3. Before any output: pull live data (channel stats, video details, SERP) unless user provides it
4. Reference `references/whitepapers.md` when citing benchmarks
5. For SEO commands: always run DataForSEO keyword research first
6. For analytics commands: pull from `youtube-marketing-mcp` tools
7. Never generate titles/tags without real keyword volume data
## Context Always Needed
Before running any command, collect if not provided:
- **Brand** — which channel / product this is for (`--brand [slug]`)
- **Video topic or URL** (for video-specific commands)
- **Target audience** (from brand config, or specify)
- **Goal** (views, subscribers, sales, docs traffic)
## Brand System
Pass `--brand [slug]` with any command, or brand is auto-detected from context.
Local brand configs live in `templates/brands/[slug].md` (gitignored — your private data).
### How It Works
1. Create `templates/brands/[your-slug].md` from `templates/brands/_template.md`
2. Fill in your channel handle, products, CTAs, audience, content strategy
3. Pass `--brand [slug]` to any command — or mention your brand naturally in the request
### Brand Loading Rule
Before ANY command output:
1. Identify the brand from `--brand` flag or context
2. Load `templates/brands/[slug].md`
3. Apply that brand's audience, CTAs, voice, and fixed description block
4. If brand is unclear → ask: "Which brand? (run `ls templates/brands/` to see yours)"
5. Never mix brand configs in one output
### Example Auto-Detection
If your brand config mentions "Elementor" as a topic, Claude picks it up from context automatically.
Explicit flag always wins: `/youtube-seo --brand mybrand [topic]`
