# Research OS Desktop Client — Design The desktop client is one installable app for macOS, Windows, and Linux that opens the os-ui desktop on a Research OS folder, with its live features (agent conversations, skill toggles, paper status, paper sources), without a terminal, `bash`, or a dev server. It is a second shell around the same frontend, not a second UI. Usage and commands are in [README.md](README.md); this file is the plan and the settled design, and it describes the code as built.
