# Robinhood Agentic-Trading MCP Adapter — Design Doc
## 1. TL;DR
Yes, build it — but as a **second venue with a fundamentally different trust model**, gated behind a flag, paper-first. (Originally "self-hosted only"; revised — hosted token custody is now permitted under the §3 conditions, because the token maps to the session key, not the owner key.) The equities brain you already have (decisions → checkPolicy → paper/breaker → Telegram/dashboard) is largely venue-agnostic and rides for free; the model boundary (`ProposedAction{action,symbol,sizeUsdg}`, `worker/src/strategist/proposals.ts:15`) already maps 1:1 onto `place_equity_order`. The exception is the deterministic strategies — most do **not** port (§6 roster) — but the LLM strategist and a plain rebalancer do. The single biggest catch, and it dwarfs every plumbing question: **on this venue there is no on-chain wall behind `checkPolicy`.** `worker/src/policy.ts:1-10` states in its own header that it only *mirrors* an authoritative on-chain rule and "the on-chain policy wins" on any disagreement.
