# aigent-os

> Claude Code harness and alternative to context compaction: at 80% context it writes a verified capsule, runs /clear and resumes with persistent memory in git. MIT, local, Node 18+.

aigent-os replaces Claude Code auto-compact with Managed Auto-Refresh: capsule, exact acknowledgement, one /clear, fresh session check, resume. Memory is plain markdown in git. Public evidence is single-seat (11 of 11 cycles on one Windows seat); see Known limits in the v1.1.0 release notes.

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261028.0ea8b14, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
