Fields, a blank line, then CSV or a Markdown table with a header row. x, y, series name columns; unit is optional. Or put <!-- chart: bar x=month y=revenue --> above a Markdown table.

Types: bar line area scatter pie hist heatmap funnel waterfall radar gauge sankey treemap dumbbell bullet boxplot calendar.

Several series: a row per x and series, plus series:. Keep row order. Donut: pie, innerRadius: 0.5. Stacked: layout: stacked. No other types or fields.

markvis is charts as text in Markdown. A chart block is a code block tagged `chart`, `markvis`, or `vis`: a few header lines and a table of rows. markvis draws it as SVG from a script tag, JavaScript, React, or any Markdown renderer. Where it cannot draw, the rows stay as a table, so the data never disappears.

How to install

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261019.8e49964, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
