# Sync

## Procedure
1. `python3 scripts/kernel/sync.py` from the workspace root. It reads the role cards (`agents/*.md`), the skills
   (`skills/*`), `hooks/hooks.json`, the MCP config, `AGENTS.md` and the engine notes, and writes the engine
   adapters (agent folders, skill folders, the hooks key of the engine settings, the MCP config, `CLAUDE.md`
   and the plugin manifests). Every output starts with the GENERATED header.
2. `python3 scripts/kernel/sync.py --check` must now exit 0.
3. `git status --short` and list what changed; stage only generated paths plus the sources that
   were edited. Do not commit unless the owner asks.
4. If a generated file was hand-edited, the guard hook or `--check` will say so: discard the hand
   edit, move the change into the source, re-run.
5. Report the counts written per output folder and the check result.
