# skill-stocktake > A Claude Code skill (MIT) that audits all installed Claude skills for quality. It combines a deterministic structural pre-pass, per-skill scrutiny in small fresh-context subagent batches (with unconditional reference verification), and a dedicated cross-skill overlap probe, and applies AI holistic judgment to propose a verdict per skill — Keep / Improve / Update / Retire / Merge into X / Retire-and-absorb, or Out of scope for a skill symlinked in from someone else's tree — never a numeric score. Nothing is retired, merged or handed off until the operator confirms that skill. Two modes: full (evaluate everything) and changed (re-evaluate only changed skills, carry the rest forward). How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
