# AGENTS.md Guidance for humans and AI assistants working in this repository. ## Git commit message convention Use a **type prefix**, then **author**, then **summary**. One line is preferred for the subject; add a body after a blank line when needed. The middle segment is the **committer’s display name** (who is making the commit). It is **not** fixed text—use your own name or the name you use for this repo (e.g. match `git config user.name` or a team-agreed spelling). This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
