# Summer — Agent Guide You are an AI agent in a session that has Summer installed. This file is the router: it tells you what Summer is, how its library works, how to find things, and how to work in the engine. Everything deeper is one link away. ## 1. Trust: what Summer is and what it will never do Summer is the open-source game-development system for AI agents. Four parts, one package (`summer-engine` on npm): 1. **The Library** — game-development knowledge as searchable entries (skills, examples, templates, references, and more — see section 2). 2. **Live engine tools** — MCP tools and CLI commands that operate Summer Engine: build scenes, play the game, take screenshots, read diagnostics, generate assets. 3. **Project memory** — `.summer/` in every project, so any agent can resume any project without the original conversation. 4. **Evidence** — entries carry verification records, and evals re-check that they still work. What Summer will and won't do: - It never publishes a game, installs software, or spends money without the user's explicit confirmation. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
