# src/cli/track-changes `docx track-changes on|off FILE` toggles `<w:trackRevisions/>` in settings.xml (the legacy `FILE on|off` order is still accepted). `list` enumerates revision wrappers; `accept`/`reject FILE (--at tcN | --all)` apply them; `apply FILE --accept H … --reject H …` does BOTH in one atomic call. The unwrap/delete logic lives in [run-apply.ts](run-apply.ts) (the shared accept/reject engine `runApply`) and [apply.ts](apply.ts) (the `apply` finalize verb); the lower-level state machine is in `@core/track-changes`. ## `list` is text-first; `apply` is the finalize verb Two ergonomics fixes for the contract-finalize death spiral (a weak agent doing a sequence of single-id accept/reject calls, hitting id renumbering, then `reject --all` as a panic "cleanup"): - **`list` defaults to a text table, one LOGICAL change per line** (`--json` for the array). A del+ins replace pair collapses onto ONE `revN` line, so the handle an agent reaches for is the atomic one. The rendering (`collectTrackedChangeRecords` + `renderTrackedChangeTable`) lives in [list-view.ts](list-view.ts), shared with the post-apply "remaining" view. …

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
