Writing style, project structure conventions, session context and memory handling, and git workflow including protected branches and worktree-per-feature.

Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

## Writing Style

Never use em dashes (--). Use a regular hyphen (-) instead in all generated text, copy, comments, documentation, and commit messages.

### Length discipline

Operator attention is the scarce resource this methodology protects and the primary consideration when a trade-off is unclear: output volume scales with the number of agents while reading capacity does not, so an artifact that must be waded through makes the operator a bottleneck. The length and ordering rules here govern durable artifacts; in-session turns to the operator are governed by `content/references/conductor-turn-format.md` §Length discipline, except the emphasis cap below, which reaches turns as well.

**Lead with the primary information.** An operator reads an artifact to make a decision, to unblock an agent, or to understand a result. Name which, then open with what that reader needs: the decision and its options, what is blocked and what would clear it, or the outcome. Everything else earns its place by supporting that, including material that is merely adjacent, defensive, or present for completeness. Accuracy is not a licence to include: true, verified, well-written content that competes with

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint
mdr add space-dinosaurs/dinostack/.cursor/rules/conventions.mdc@sha256:0c2829bd8ebeaa12

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261019.903cb09, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
