# Close Day
- A 5–10 minute closure ritual, not a generated daily report.
+ Close today's active loop without turning the ritual into a portfolio review.
- ## 1. Load the cockpit
+ ## 1. Load today's cockpit
- Read today's workday note and parse only these named sections first:
+ Read `AGENTS.md`, resolve today's note, and inspect the schema-defined sections corresponding to:
- - `Daily Outcome`
- - `Next Action`
- - `Active Focus Block`
- - `Parking Lot`
- - `Work Notes`
- - `Ideas Worth Sharing`
- - `Ready to Resume`
- - `Carry Forward`
+ - daily outcome and next action;
+ - active focus and work notes;
+ - ideas or receipts worth sharing;
+ - ready-to-resume state;
+ - carry-forward items.
- If the note is missing, stop and suggest `/daily`. If sections are sparse, ask what happened; do not infer inactivity.
+ If the note is missing, stop and offer `/daily`. Sparse sections trigger a question, not an
+ inference of inactivity.
- Completion: the current state, unresolved commitments, and captured sharing ideas are visible.
+ Completion: current state, unresolved work, and captured receipts are visible.
- ## 2. Close the active loop
+ ## 2. Record a resume state
- Ask the user to confirm or edit:
+ Have the user confirm:
- - outcome state: complete / deliberately stopped / blocked;
+ - outcome state: complete, deliberately stopped, or blocked;
- what is now true;
- the next visible action;
- - the file, link, or command to reopen.
+ - the file, link, or command needed to resume.
- Write one credible `Ready to Resume` state. Do not restart the whole portfolio or generate a long retrospective.
+ Draft one concise resume state and obtain approval before writing it.
Completion: future-you can resume without reconstructing the task.
- ## 3. Triage Ideas Worth Sharing
-
- For every non-empty receipt, ask for one decision:
-
- - **Promote** — durable enough for `Public Technical Presence`;
- - **Defer** — keep in the daily note for the weekly review;
- - **Discard** — remove it from the publishing pipeline without deleting the underlying work note.
-
- On promotion, preserve receipt ID, idea/lesson, proof, project, daily-note backlink, source session, and safety state. Hand off to `capture-receipt` for the approved write and offer:
-
- 1. save only;
- 2. draft a tweet now through `tweet-today`;
- 3. create a blog outline through `blog`.
-
- Never publish, claim publication, or expose private Roofr information. Anything marked `no` or `needs review` stays private until the user explicitly clears it.
-
- Completion: every captured sharing idea is promoted, deferred, or discarded.
-
- ## 4. Confirm tomorrow candidates
+ ## 3. Triage receipts
- Extract promises, blockers, and unfinished work from today's note. Show exact source lines and ask what truly belongs tomorrow.
+ For every captured sharing idea, ask for one decision:
- Update exactly one `## Carry Forward` section with confirmed tomorrow items only. Unselected work stays in its source system or weekly radar; it does not become silent debt.
+ - **Promote:** hand the sourced idea to `capture-receipt`.
+ - **Defer:** leave it for the weekly review.
+ - **Discard from pipeline:** remove its sharing candidacy without deleting the underlying work note.
- Completion: the note has one canonical Carry Forward section and no inferred commitments.
+ Only explicitly public-safe material may proceed to publication drafting. Never publish, claim
+ publication, or expose confidential information.
- ## 5. Optional project maintenance
+ Completion: each receipt is promoted, deferred, or discarded.
- Only propose a project update when today's note contains meaningful status, decision, or insight evidence.
+ ## 4. Confirm carry-forward
- - Never modify a human-written note without `source: claude-memory`.
- - For an LLM-owned project note, show the exact named-section change and require approval.
- - Public Technical Presence writes are limited to its receipt/draft/published sections.
+ Extract unfinished promises and blockers with source locations. Ask which items truly belong to the
+ next workday. Prepare one canonical carry-forward section containing only confirmed items.
- Completion: protected notes remain untouched and approved LLM-owned updates are targeted.
+ Nothing rolls forward automatically; unselected work remains in its source system.
- ## Report
+ Completion: tomorrow's candidates are confirmed and no commitment was inferred.
- Return only:
+ ## 5. Write and verify
- - outcome state and ready-to-resume action;
- - receipt decisions and any handoff started;
- - confirmed Carry Forward items;
- - optional approved project update.
+ Preview all named-section changes together. After approval, use the `vault` safe-write flow and
+ respect ownership declared in `AGENTS.md`. Reread the note and verify the resume state and single
+ carry-forward section.
- If Obsidian CLI fails, say: "Obsidian CLI isn't working — update Obsidian with CLI enabled."
+ Return only the outcome state, resume action, receipt decisions, confirmed carry-forward, and any
+ unresolved item.
