What the file says
### Python Extension System (Runtime and Distribution) `registry.knowledge_provider(name, provider)` (extension-api 0.2.7) adds an operator-installed read-only `deerflow.knowledge.RetrievalProvider`. The host validates advertised async operations, attributes entries and rolls them back positionally with every other contribution. Provider configuration, API calls and response mapping stay in extensions; core owns capabilities, Scope admission and source validation. Catalog and execution resolve the same loaded snapshot, with run-bound snapshots taking precedence over the singleton. Older registry implementations return False; never silently ignore unsupported registration. Third-party Python packages can expose an `install(registry, config)` function and be loaded, in deterministic order, from the startup-only top-level `plugins:` list in `config.yaml`. Keep this list out of `extensions_config.json`: the latter is writable through Gateway APIs, while importing Python entry points is an operator-controlled code …
