Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Registry Directory Contract The registry is derived from skill source files and tag overrides. Treat this directory as generated metadata unless you are editing a declared source of truth. ## Sources Of Truth | Need | Edit | |---|---| | Skill name or description | The skill's frontmatter in `skills/` | | Manual tag correction | `registry/tag_overrides.yml` | | Category, discovery, render, or validation behavior | `scripts/validate_skills.py` | | Generated registry payload | Regenerate with `python3 scripts/validate_skills.py --write` | ## Rules - Do not manually edit `registry/skills.json` or `registry/tags.json`. - Do not invent registry fields. Add validator, renderer, docs, and tests for any real schema change. - Keep generated output deterministic and sorted so diffs stay reviewable. - If `docs/skill-registry.md` is stale, regenerate it through the validator instead of editing it directly. ## Validation Run after registry source changes: ```bash python3 scripts/validate_skills.py --write python3 scripts/validate_skills.py --check ``` If only inspecting registry state, run `python3 scripts/validate_skills.py --check`.

How to install
mdr add majiayu000/spellbook/registry/AGENTS.md@sha256:91497ffe0d8b18a5The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260623.1378532, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
