# solstone Developer Guide This file is the **developer guide** for the solstone-journal repository. Read it before writing code. The Rust conversion is closed: there is no Python reference implementation and no Python product code remains in this repository. Every write path lives in a crate under `core/crates/`. The journal app for mac, in `platforms/macos/`, is a Swift lifecycle and window adapter around that runtime; it never writes what the journal holds. Audience: - **Coders** (cwd = repo root, editing `core/crates/`, `core/native-sol/`, `core/payload/solstone/talent/`) — you're in the right place. - **Mac app work** (Swift, `platforms/macos/`) — read `platforms/macos/AGENTS.md`; it is a separate Swift package with its own Makefile, built on a Mac. - **Generate talents** (running inside the live system) — `docs/GENERATE.md` defines the completion boundary; `docs/CORTEX.md` and `docs/THINK.md` describe preparation, hooks and publication. Rust supplies their context and applies their output and domain-write rules.
