# tokendoctor

> The same Claude Code for up to 40% less. See what your Claude Code use overpays, fix it, undo it any time. Runs on your machine.
> A Claude Code plugin: it replays your own sessions to show what they overpay, applies the fixes you
> pick (`/tokendoctor undo` puts any back), and can slide the context window instead of summarizing
> it. Everything runs locally; it reads usage figures and file paths, never message text.

## Install

- `claude plugin marketplace add rsaryev/tokendoctor`
- `claude plugin install tokendoctor@tokendoctor`

## Use

- `/tokendoctor` shows the main settings and the audit's fixes; `/tokendoctor <name> <value>` sets one, `/tokendoctor fix <id>` applies a fix, `/tokendoctor undo` lists every change and puts one back.
- `/tokendoctor:sessions [days]` measures spend from local transcripts: main thread against subagents, spend with a very full context, subagent types, cache rebuilds. `tokendoctor-sessions --by day|week` shows the trend.
- `/tokendoctor:audit` lists findings by severity, each with a link to the documentation page it rests on. Read-only.
- `/tokendoctor:optimize [focus]` proposes setting changes backed by the measurements and applies the ones the person picks, each through a dialog that shows the change.
- `/tokendoctor:apply <finding-id>` shows a dry run, asks for confirmation, then writes. An existing file is copied to `<file>.tokendoctor-<timestamp>.bak` first.
- From a shell: `tokendoctor-sessions`, `tokendoctor-audit`, `tokendoctor-set`, `tokendoctor-apply`.
