# SpecPi Repository Guide ## Purpose SpecPi is a minimal, evidence-led harness for Pi. Preserve human control: changes should be the smallest sufficient intervention, testable, reversible, private by default, and supported by observed behavior rather than model claims. Wishlist observations are leads, not authorization. Only an exact human selection through `/harness-improvement` authorizes a wishlist-sourced change. ## Repository map - `scripts/specpi.mjs` and `scripts/lib.mjs`: installer lifecycle, managed-state transactions, and CLI behavior. - `scripts/packages.mjs` and `templates/settings.json`: the eight pinned packages installed by default, including independently published `specpi-browser-qa` and `specpi-lancet-guard`. The harness's own extensions are `/scope`, the improvement loop, and the off-by-default Jev advisor. The command guard is not one of them: `specpi-lancet-guard` (source in `packages/lancet-guard`) is a local, CPU-only package that ships off and owns its own switch; SpecPi writes nothing into its configuration, and `scripts/lancet-guard.mjs` only reports when an update retires an armed `specpi-jev-guard`. How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
