## Layout
- Where the main areas are, as someone sees them: "the toolbar along the top", "the list on the left",
  "the settings panel on the right". Name the buttons as the app labels them.

## Common tasks
- What people ask for, then how: menu path, button, shortcut. Five to eight lines.
- Export a file: File menu → Export… (⇧⌘E) → pick a format → Save.

## Pointing hints
- "Where is export?" → point at the File menu, then Export….
- One line per frequent question: which control or area to point at.

## Gotchas
- The traps: a panel that hides itself, a button that only appears after selecting something, a
  setting that lives somewhere surprising.
