Orchestrate continual learning by delegating transcript mining to agents-memory-updater and writing durable memory to local JSON (never root AGENTS.md Learned sections). USE WHEN continual learning, mine prior chats, maintain agent memory, or the stop hook triggers this skill.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Continual Learning (template repo) Keep durable agent memory in **local JSON**, not in root `AGENTS.md`. ## Trigger Use when the user asks to mine prior chats, maintain agent memory, or run the continual-learning loop (including stop-hook followups). ## Workflow 1. Call the `agents-memory-updater` subagent (repo override at `.cursor/agents/agents-memory-updater.md`). 2. Return the updater result verbatim. ## Target file - Memory: `.cursor/hooks/state/continual-learning-memory.json` - Schema example: `.cursor/hooks/state/continual-learning-memory.example.json` - Optional helpers: `infrastructure.core.agent_memory` ## Guardrails - Keep this skill orchestration-only — do not mine transcripts or edit files in the parent flow. - Do not bypass the subagent. - **Never** add or edit `## Learned User Preferences` or `## Learned Workspace Facts` in root `AGENTS.md` (public-repo contract). - Do not commit `continual-learning-memory.json` or `continual-learning-index.json`.

How to install
mdr add docxology/template/continual-learning@sha256:abd950dc5328139fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260529.c2ccd68, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
