A request to publish, deploy, or complete a release counts as explicit permission to push the branch, push the release tag, and publish the GitHub Release as required by this workflow. When the user explicitly asks to deploy or push, push completed product-code commits before release-prep commits so CI builds the real source state before any release tag is created. - Keep user changes intact. If unrelated working tree changes exist, do not overwrite them. - Commit finished release-prep work before moving to tag or publish steps. …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
