Secure changed backend boundaries while preserving access policy and accepted events. Use for authentication, authorization, webhooks, uploads, external requests, or security-sensitive API changes.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Fix the requested security boundary using the existing integration contract. 1. Establish the concrete threat or requested protection, affected entry points, framework versions, current trust model, and accepted users and events. Identify the evidence behind the problem. 2. Separate proving request origin, deciding user access, and accepting event types. Do not introduce an allowlist or drop events merely because source authentication is being repaired. 3. Read the official framework or provider documentation for the actual mechanism. For signed requests, inspect raw-body requirements, canonicalization, timestamp handling, replay rules, and comparison semantics. 4. Trace untrusted data into queries, commands, file paths, templates, outbound destinations, deserialization, and logs only where the changed path reaches them. Prefer supported APIs over invented validation. 5. Preserve intended error behavior and avoid exposing secrets. Reject malformed or unauthenticated input at the appropriate boundary without breaking legitimately supported requests. …

How to install
mdr add dayfinggg/openai-codex-agent-skills/backend-security-change@sha256:81c0210e995fa27fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261029.276ae81, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
