Use during /research (or any recipe) to send 1-3 research queries in parallel — vault or web targets — and aggregate compressed findings. Routes each query to vault-researcher or web-researcher based on target. Hosts the cross-verify consent gate so any inline-research caller (/research, /design, /decompose) inherits source-bias mitigation without duplicating logic.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Dispatch Exploration
Send a small batch of research queries to specialist agents in parallel, apply the cross-verify consent gate when a returned finding triggers it, and return a compressed findings list.
## Input
A list of query objects:

- `target` — `"vault"` or `"web"`. Required.
- `hint` (vault only) — optional slug-prefix scope to focus the search.
The input shape is **stable** — callers do not need to opt into the cross-verify gate; it is always on for `target: "web"` results.
## Process
1. **Dispatch** one agent per query, **all in parallel** (single message, multiple Agent tool calls):
- `target: "vault"` → `vault-researcher`
- `target: "web"` → `web-researcher`
2. **Wait** for all results.
3. **Cross-verify intercept** for each `web` result. See [Cross-verify orchestration](#cross-verify-orchestration) below. This is the only step where this skill may pause for user interaction; vault results are pass-through.

How to install
mdr add ethanaubuchon/dossier-tradecraft/dispatch-exploration@sha256:25f482caf06cee18The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260702.d38960a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
