auditing-uefi-firmware-with-chipsec from adriannoes/awesome-agentic-ai is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add adriannoes/awesome-agentic-ai/auditing-uefi-firmware-with-chipsec@v1.0Pins v1.0 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Use Intel CHIPSEC to assess platform firmware configuration, SPI flash write protection, BIOS lock, SMM/SMRR, and Secure Boot variable state, dump SPI flash, and triage UEFI variables for firmware-level threats.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Auditing UEFI Firmware with CHIPSEC > **Authorized Use Only:** CHIPSEC loads a kernel driver and reads/writes low-level hardware registers, SPI flash, and SMM. Run it only on systems you own or are explicitly authorized to assess, ideally on dedicated test hardware. Misuse (especially write/modify modules) can brick a machine. Never run write-capable modules on production systems. ## Overview CHIPSEC is the open-source **Platform Security Assessment Framework** created by Intel's Advanced Threat Research team. It inspects the low-level security configuration of x86 platform firmware and hardware — the layer below the operating system where bootkits and firmware implants live. CHIPSEC loads a signed kernel driver (Linux, Windows, or it can run from the UEFI shell) to read and write hardware registers, Model-Specific Registers (MSRs), PCI config space, SPI flash, and UEFI variables, then runs an automated test suite that checks whether the platform's defensive locks are actually engaged. …

How to install
mdr add adriannoes/awesome-agentic-ai/auditing-uefi-firmware-with-chipsec@sha256:48be885889e27deeThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
