Use when preparing Australian foreign-pension or annuity income, undeducted purchase price (UPP), treaty and arrears workpapers.

# Foreign pension and annuity workpapers ## Inputs Income year, residency and temporary-residency periods, payer country and pension type, entitlement and payment statements, gross amounts, foreign tax and refunds, fees and net receipts, exchange-rate evidence, arrears by accrual year, personal contribution and purchase-price records, prior UPP determinations and relevant treaty facts. Obtain the wider return inputs needed for any foreign-income-tax-offset limit. ## Workflow 1. Classify the payment from its legal terms: periodic pension or annuity, arrears, foreign-super lump sum or another amount. Identify residence, source-country and treaty provisions for that payment and period. An overseas tax exemption or social-security description does not establish Australian exemption. 2. Reconcile gross pension, foreign tax withheld, fees and net bank receipts in original currency, then retain an AUD conversion trail using the supported applicable method.
