Repairs defect bookkeeping that reports the wrong numbers - a weekly summary showing zero in the top severity band, a 'new defects this week' figure counting items already fixed, duplicates that were never merged, or one script moving issues across several boards whose workflows disagree. Files, transitions, dedupes, and searches bugs through one tracker-agnostic workflow across Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues, and Azure DevOps: authenticate, dedupe-search before creating, classify severity and…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# bug-tracker-workflow ## Overview Every mainstream tracker exposes the same four core operations - **create**, **transition**, **search**, and **update/comment** - behind a different API shape. This skill runs the bug workflow tracker-agnostically, with Jira Cloud REST API v3 worked in full below and per-platform deep dives in references: | Tracker | API shape | Lifecycle model | Deep dive | |---|---|---|---| | **Jira Cloud** | REST v3, ADF rich text | Configurable workflow engine; look up transition IDs at runtime | Worked below + [references/jira.md](references/jira.md) | | **Linear** | GraphQL only | Per-team `WorkflowState` objects; resolve by `type`, not display name | [references/linear.md](references/linear.md) | | **GitHub Issues** | REST + Projects v2 GraphQL | Two states (open/closed) + `state_reason`; severity/priority via labels | [references/github-issues.md](references/github-issues.md) | | **Azure DevOps** | WIT REST 7.1, JSON Patch | Process-template states (Agile: New/Active/Resolved/Closed); WIQL search | [references/azuredevops.md](references/azuredevops.md) | The tracker-agnostic rules that hold on all four platforms: …

How to install
mdr add testland/qa/bug-tracker-workflow@sha256:c990a1995a4f14bdThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260820.2e2bc4b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
