Set up and run Bugpatrol, a QA team of AI agents that explores a web, Electron, iOS, or Android app, finds bugs, fixes them, and opens GitHub PRs and issues. Use this skill when the user wants to add Bugpatrol to a repo, write or fix .bugpatrol/bugpatrol.yml, run an explore, judge, fix, or patrol cycle, or look at the bugs that Bugpatrol found.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Bugpatrol Bugpatrol is a QA team made of AI agents. It runs the user's app the way a human tester does. The CLI is the npm package `bugpatrol`. Run it with `npx bugpatrol@latest <command>`. Do not build it from source. Always add `@latest`, because `npx` can run an old copy from its cache. An old copy can have different commands and a different config layout. There is one exception: if the repo lists `bugpatrol` in `package.json`, run `npx bugpatrol <command>`, so that you use the version that the repo selected. Source and full docs: https://github.com/agent-labs-dev/bugpatrol ## 1. What Bugpatrol does Bugpatrol has these roles: - The **explorer** starts the app, maps its screens, and reports what looks wrong. It also sees the console errors and the failed requests of the app. - The **judge** looks at each finding and its screenshot. It files an issue, adds the finding to an open issue, or dismisses it with a reason. - The **fixer** (off by default) writes a fix in its own git worktree, on the branch `bugpatrol/fix-<issue>`. - The **retest** starts the app from the fix worktree. The explorer repeats the flow, and the judge compares the before and after screenshots. …

How to install
mdr add agent-labs-dev/bugpatrol/bugpatrol@sha256:c0c23c06f018c26dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.ba525a5, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
